Here’s some photos from the past few days, from the weekend until now. This first photo is my Mom’s horse, Cloud [Nine], who they sold on Sunday. It broke my heart to see him leave! They rescued him a year or two ago, but ever since my Mom had that accident with him (he spooked, she fell & broke her leg) they haven’t been able to mesh well when riding. He’s gone to a lovely home with two young girls though, so his life will be long and happy.

That peach was just delicious! We picked up some from Berry’s Produce the last time we were in Mechanicsville. I seriously think they were the best peaches I’ve had in years.

Yesterday we visited the scrap yard, and I just had to take a picture. Those giant magnet things kind of freaked me out, because they got super close to our truck as we were unloading. Okay, I say ‘we’, but it was really all Jared. You should’ve seen the way that thing smashed that fridge! Like a bug under foot, seriously.

I didn’t realize that rainbow was a double rainbow until I came home and saw the image. Too cool!

Aren’t these baby geese adorable? Yes, I like saying ‘baby geese’ more than goslings. They were so fun to watch! When they ran they waddled with their little fluffy featherless wings stretched out. Super adorable!!

Here’s Jared cutting apart some big steel beams. I love pictures of him working, so I snuck tons that are basically all the same.

I hope y’all enjoyed these photos, and are having a lovely week so far!

Gorgeous photos, Whitney! I especially love the last ones of Jared working (good on you sneaking some awesome pictures!) and the one of your mom’s old horse. Horses in real life make me a little nervous too, so I can totally understand, despite the sadness, why she was giving him away after her accident. Hopefully he’ll enjoy his new home. :)

Thanks, hon! I really hope he does enjoy his new home. I know he was heartbroken leaving, because he got so attached to this mare named Ellie, but the new owner says he’s already made a pasture-friend, so I’m not too worried anymore. I’m so going to miss that horse though!
